About me
I have a law degree and it came in handy (I am a former bankruptcy administrator). Honestly, I did not like doing jurisprudence and as soon as the opportunity arose I changed my field of activity.
I took up SEO, and I still do it. Three years have passed, during which time I studied / understood / realized:
- HTML
- CSS
- JS
I really don't like this, but I can make a layout or two, I can write the necessary JS scripts, although it will take more time than any front-end developer. I have never done this seriously.
- php, MySQL, Python
I like it better, firstly, working with any CMS rarely does without using PHP, one way or another the SEO specialist has to write something (Don't bother the programmer over the little things). Secondly, it is simply more important and more complex than any front.
Python is not for development, but for data analysis, editing, etc. It's more of an SEO tool
- WordPress, Bitrix, HostCMS, other commercial ones, I saw several self-scripts (none good).
- Working with hosting - backups, settings, etc.
I didn't get to real servers until I lack knowledge in Linux (they are almost zero)
In general, I can say that I have the knowledge required by a Junior web developer, and in some aspects deeper.
SEO.
I studied myself. What I know and understand well how it works
- robots
- sitemap of any type (for images, HTML, video)
- SSL
- Redirect and what to do with them
- Mmikro markup (both inside layout and Json)
- Access logs, analytics, work on increasing the crawling budget
- Distinguish between scanning and indexing
- Page Rank is alive and will never die (I had to study a patent at Stanford University on this topic, there is little sensible information in blogs. I learned a lot of interesting things.)
- Images, - indexing, ranking (not only prescribe ALT)
- I know what to do with takes, GET parameters, etc.
In general, you can write a lot more here, I've seen quite a lot in technical SEO.
Content
- Semantic core - I know how and how to collect, especially for the Russian audience, because basically all projects I have in Russia.
- I love to write in my free time, blog https://svettsova.com/blogi/svettoch/
- I know where, how and why to look for LSI, how to use them.
- Text ranking algorithms. I have not read the detailed documentation on BERT yet (I mean the patent for the technology), I understand the rest of the basic algorithms.
- I understand the basic concepts of information retrieval.
- Search for copywriters.
- Drawing up technical specifications for writing texts.
- I can post content, but my wife says I have a bad visual taste. I really don't like it very much.
- I can make micro-markup inside HTML, sometimes I need it for FAQ
- I understand the principles of linking
Links
- I don't have a lot of practical experience in link building, but I am familiar with the basic concepts and algorithms - PR, HITS, HILTOP, Co-Citation
- Familiar with link research tools (Ahrefs, of course)
Web-development
I am familiar with the entire technology stack for building a website. I know WordPress well, I can quickly figure out any CMS, especially if there is good documentation. Experience with complex control systems and undocumented systems (self-coded).
I know at least the names of the main SEO tools and used them in my work.
I know quite well and work every day:
- Screaming Frog
- Screaming Frog log analyzer
- Ahrefs
- Yandex web master, metric
- GSC, GA
- Keyword hunter
In my free time, I learn Python by writing different things for my SEO work, like sorting urls, getting response codes (or whatever), sorting again by some logic. I am thinking about the LSI algorithm for the suitability of the text on the page (there are a lot of text analyzers, but a tool into which you can load the URL and get a frequency dictionary, or something else I haven’t come across. Here I need to parse the html, sort words, turn them into tokens, etc.)
In general, what exel cannot do out of the box.
Sometimes I look in the direction of data analysis, it is also necessary for SEO.
There is such a thing

I haven't gone further yet, I lack fundamental knowledge of mathematics, it's hard without it.
And such
